Emergency calls (911)
When someone dials 911 from VoiceSuites, emergency services receive the address registered for where that person is. Keeping it right matters.
Office and remote addresses
Section titled “Office and remote addresses”- Your office address is set when you create your system, and covers everyone working there.
- People who work outside the office are remote users. Each needs their own emergency address, which is why a remote user costs $5/month.
When you’re somewhere new
Section titled “When you’re somewhere new”The desktop and mobile apps check whether you’re at one of your saved places (within about 300 metres). If you seem to be somewhere new:
- The app asks you to confirm or update your address. Choose Update address to register where you are now, or Check again if you’re actually at a saved place.
- Until your address is confirmed, calls to outside numbers pause. Calls to your team still work.
- 911 itself is never blocked.
Location checks need your permission. Your location stays on your device.
Who is told
Section titled “Who is told”When anyone on your account calls 911, the account owners, admins and reception are notified by email.
