Go live

Going live connects a real business number to the system you’ve already built and tested.

  1. In the portal, go to Phone Numbers and choose Purchase Number.
  2. Confirm the emergency address for the number.
  3. Choose New number, then search by state, area code, or digits the number should contain.
  4. Pick a number and assign it to a line.

New numbers can take up to 15 minutes to start working. Once a line has its own number, callers no longer need an access code.

Keep the number your customers already know, at no extra cost. It’s priced like any other number.

  1. When you add a number, choose Bring my number and enter it. We’ll check that it can move.
  2. Fill in the details from your current provider: the name on the bill, the authorized person, the account number and PIN, the billing phone number and the service address. You can pick a preferred transfer date.
  3. Authorize the transfer with your name and title.

Moving a number usually takes 1–3 weeks. You get a temporary number to use in the meantime. On transfer day, calls and texts switch over by themselves, with nothing to reconfigure. You can follow progress on the transfer’s page, and My Tasks lets you know if anything needs fixing.

Before you can call outside numbers, VoiceSuites checks that your business is real. Open the task in My Tasks and complete the one-time check as a company (with your EIN and business address) or as an individual, with a photo of a government ID and a selfie.

The $5 fee is credited back to your balance, and retries are free.

When setup is finished, you get $2 of calling credit. See How billing works.
