Create your phone system

Building and testing is free, and you don’t need a credit card.

  1. Go to the VoiceSuites portal and sign in with Google or your email.
  2. Complete your profile. Enter your first and last name. Your team sees your name, and it appears on calls.
  3. Create your workspace. Use your company name, without “LLC” or “Inc.”. You can change it later.
  4. Choose your IVR language. Pick the language, dialect and voice callers will hear first. Use Preview to listen, and Adjust pronunciation if your company name doesn’t sound right.
  5. Pick your industry. VoiceSuites uses it to suggest teams and greetings for businesses like yours.

On What do you want to build first?, pick one. You can add the others later.

A single line for one part of your business, such as Sales, Support or Scheduling. Pick a template or Custom Team Line. Good for adding one better line next to the phone system you already have.

A full system with a Company Menu and several destinations. On Build your phone system:

  • Choose the Team Lines and Groups callers can reach. A team line has a queue, schedule, reports and follow-up. A group simply rings its people. Use Help me choose if you’re not sure.
  • Decide How should reception work?: reception only, reception during business hours with a menu after hours, or the menu first with reception as one option.
  • Set your reception business hours.
  • Drag to change menu order, and watch the preview of your phone system update as you go.

A business number for one person, with its own voicemail and history. Add yourself, and Invite others by email if you like. You’ll get a test number right away.

On Add people, invite your teammates:

  • Invite users by email, Import CSV, or import from Google or Microsoft.
  • Mark each person Office or Remote. Remote people need a remote user seat, and add their home address for 911 after they join.
  • Drag people onto the lines and groups where they answer calls. On a team line, put them under Supervisors or Agents.

You can Skip for now and add people later.

Finally, enter your office address. It’s used for emergency (911) calls.

On Get connected, choose how you’ll take calls: in this browser, in the desktop app or in the mobile app. See Ways to answer calls.

Next, test your system.
