Website widget
The widget adds a round call button to the bottom-right corner of your website. Visitors click it to call your team from their browser.
Add the widget to your site
Section titled “Add the widget to your site”-
In the VoiceSuites portal, open the team line visitors should reach and go to Web Calls.
-
Choose Add a widget and give it a label, such as “Main website”.
-
Choose the options you want (see below), then copy the embed code. It looks like this:
<script src="https://calls.voicesuites.com/embed.js" data-widget="YOUR-WIDGET-ID" async></script> -
Paste the code into your website, just before the closing
</body>tag. Most website builders have a place for custom code in the site footer. -
Open your site and click the call button to try it.
Widget options
Section titled “Widget options”| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| On/off switch | Turns the widget on or off without removing the code. |
| Offer chat | Lets visitors chat instead of calling. |
| Services shown | Which languages and queues visitors can choose from. |
| Ask before calling | Ask for first name, last name, company, phone or email, each off, optional or required. You can add up to 5 dropdowns of your own. |
| Regenerate code | Gives the widget a new address. Replace the code on your site afterwards. |
What visitors see
Section titled “What visitors see”- Talk to us right from your browser. The browser asks for permission to use the microphone.
- If you offer several services or languages, they can choose one. The language is picked from their browser automatically.
- If you ask for them, a short form collects details such as name, company, phone or email before the call.
- While they wait: Waiting for the next available agent… Once answered: Connected with an agent.
- During the call they have a keypad, mute and hang up.
If your team is closed, visitors see a message such as We’re closed right now and can leave a message instead.
Minimizing the widget during a call doesn’t hang up. The button turns green and pulses while the call is live. Leaving the page ends the call.
Embedding in your own frame
Section titled “Embedding in your own frame”If you place the widget in your own <iframe> rather than using the script, include these permissions so calls, audio and screen sharing work:
<iframe src="https://calls.voicesuites.com/w/YOUR-WIDGET-ID" allow="microphone; autoplay; display-capture" title="Call us"></iframe>
